The Algarve is known for its great climate, scenery and cuisine and where better in Europe is there to spend a week in the depths of the English winter?

Just north of Faro (the nearest airport), Alte is one of the most beautiful villages in the region and is surrounded by rolling countryside perfect for a week in the saddle. This is an area of rare beauty with magnificent views, quaint hamlets and a unique timeless quality; few tourists find their way to the interior of the Algarve and those that do are well rewarded with friendly and hospitable locals - as well as warm winter weather!
